Sustainability
B Corp Impact Assessment
As a small business we like to see how we compare to our bigger corporations. As at the end of 2023, we can happily say that we are sustainably trading better than our larger counterparts and we have also used our initial assesstment to guide us forward for the coming years.
2023 Waste Reduction
- In 2023 we planted more than 200 trees with our partner Eden Reforestation. This coming year we hope it will be more.
- Most customers have also seen a reduction in care cards, this is part of our initiative to reduce recycling. We now have a box design that contrains care instructions. Our product care instructions are on our site, and they are also available to download. This is due to our want to reduce paper wastage and be more sustainable.
Local Supply Chains
As a small family business operated in th UK, from 2023 onwards we have opted in to use local suppliers in the UK and small local businesses. This gives us more control over quality, availability of supplies as well as being able to retain our PETA certification. Our supplier chain is also reviewed to make that new suppliers align with out goals to stop animal testing.
Carbon Emissions
With our supply chain being UK based, most of our carbon emissions are reduced. A portion of out sales also goes towards projects developing in the energy sector to reduce carbon emisisons. In 2023 we were glad to be carbon neutral and we hope that we will retain this going forward through our careful selection of suppliers and resources.
