Our first Steps
In October 2020, Chantic was born, crafting candles and Oil
perfumes.
"As a direct result of losing my job in the pandemic of COVID-19. I needed something
to focus on and directed my attention to my two dogs, one of which was very sensitive. My older dog Remus in particular was affected by allergies released in toxic products found in the supermarket stores. It affected triggered his skin allergies and his sense of smell. Our product range started with oil perfume handmade with essential oils and pet balms then started to grow into essential oil sprays for room and linen and pet balms, safe enough to use on pet bedding and living areas. We naturally progressed to natural skincare free of parabens and preservative to then into home fragrance.
When we started to look into home fragrance and candles, we found that most supermarkets didn’t have pet friendly candles, and most were toxic / carcinogenic towards animals and people. I then started to experiment with the idea of creating 100% vegan candles with plant-based bio- degradable soya wax which makes our products pet friendly. Our lip balms are also safe enough to be licked by pets! All our ingredients are sustainably sourced, natural, and organic ingredients that will not harm the environment and your skin. Suffering from eczema since birth, and seasonal flare ups I love to use my own skincare to calm the
itchiness.
What started as a hobby soon evolved into a small business! We have a range of handmade products and to continue to grow through our wholesale range.”

Product Development
With the heart of candle creation being developed, next steps were to test then next focus is on brand and product development. We have spend this year developing and creating our label designs to tie in with our brand, raising our brand awareness, entering product and skincare awards and making sure all our candles are CLP compliant.
We also like to make sure that our cosmetics and skincare range has been assessment as hold Cosmetic Product Safety Reports so all our customers have peace of mind.
Selling at Markets
We started small and then grew slowly. We started with just 6 scented Soy candle scents, our initial range of container candles and handful of wax melts, we signed up for our first local craft in Harrow where we are based. We also created out social media platforms and e-commerce website.
We still do attend various craft markets both locally and around London, occasionally we go outside of London too. We are always looking for new and exciting craft and farmers markets.

Development & Growth
After a successful start to selling candles and wax melts, we have decided to extend our product range. We now offer simple and natural skincare made with natural essential oils. Some of our skincare products include bath salts, lip balms, body lotion bars and soaps.
One tree planted for every order
We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature. That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’re partnering with Eden Reforestation Project to plant a tree for every order and Greenspark for carbon offset and recusing plastics.
Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact. We’re honoured to have reforestation as an integral part of our business model.
The trees planted with Eden Reforestation Projects support wild life diversity, improve coastlines, provided meaningful wages to indigenous population and grow Mangrove trees which are an incredible carbon sink. Every tree offsets the equivalent to 20kg of Carbon (the equivalent to 9352 smartphones being charged).
Deforestation has been an ongoing global issue, contributing to climate change. As a Company we aim he create a more sustainable impact and help towards maintaining plants and animal species from extinction.
